A few things to know about fishing with Saltie.
How do I inquire about a trip?
Use our Reservation page to prepare your preferred trip, date and number of guests. Then send your inquiry to our team by WhatsApp, email or WeChat. Preparing the details on this website does not send your inquiry or confirm a booking. Our team will confirm availability and your booking separately.
Can I take the fish we catch with me?
During the trip, we may catch different kinds of fish. Species listed under protection are not allowed to be taken, such as reef sharks, thresher sharks, sea turtles, etc.
For non-edible fish, we encourage releasing them back into the sea after taking photos, such as clownfish, angelfish, lionfish, etc.
Edible fish may be taken and prepared at nearby restaurants, such as groupers, snappers, mackerels, etc.
Can I go snorkeling during the fishing trip?
Snorkeling is not allowed during the trip. Fishing spots are usually in deeper waters with strong currents. For safety reasons, no in-water activities are permitted while fishing.
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
You’re welcome to bring your own fishing gear or rent equipment from us. We recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen and water shoes. See your chosen trip for inclusions and rental details.
Do I need fishing experience?
No fishing experience is needed. Our guides help beginners get started. You can also contact our team to discuss which trip suits your experience.
Where does Saltie Fishing operate?
Saltie Fishing offers fishing trips around Panglao and Bohol in the Philippines. Contact our team to confirm the meeting point for your chosen trip.
Which fishing trips can I choose?
Choose a Morning Catch trip, a Sunset Catch trip, a Full Day Fishing Tour or a private Big Game charter. See our trip schedule for times, prices and inclusions.
How many guests can join a boat?
Each boat carries up to four guests. The Big Game option is a private charter priced per boat; the other listed trips are priced per person. See the trip schedule for details.
Is fishing gear included in the price?
Fishing gear is not included in the listed trip prices. You can bring your own equipment or rent a setup for 1,500 PHP per set. See your chosen trip for inclusions and other exclusions.
Are hotel transfers included?
Hotel transfers are not included in the listed trips. Contact our team if you need help planning how to reach the meeting point.
Can I pay on this website?
No payment is taken on this website. Contact our team to arrange your trip and confirm the booking details.
